Hennie bought Mike’s Kitchen Franchising with a partner in 2001, and became Operations and Development Director, while Lara was Training Manager.
Hennie and Lara acquired Mike’s Kitchen Springs in 2009 and grew the business to become one of the best restaurants in the franchise, and in Springs.
They have received numerous awards and accolades, with The Franchise Association of South Africa awarding them “Franchise of the Year” in 2015 as a highlight.
And a new chapter begins
Now after 30 years, Hennie & Lara have decided to use their extensive knowledge and experience, to create a unique family-style steakhouse, focusing on quality and affordability in a cozy and friendly environment.
